while her ex is struggling with her own role among the witches and her family
when the latter receives a mysterious threat, and the former is getting increasingly haunted, their tenuous new relationship is tested
#The Ghost of Hexes Past#aroaessidhe 2024 reads#sapphic books#a nice urban fantasy sapphic series!#My favourite part of these books is definitely Rus’ relationship with her adopted kids.#I kinda like the exploration of magic + technology too.#Their romance is definitely more of a slower burn and not the priority in the narrative; which I like.#Though I can’t remember where there relationship stood in the last book (and I started this like; wait; were they not together already?)#Maybe I forgot some things from the first book but I felt like the antagonist came out of nowhere at the end.#I did see that apparently one of them is acespec but I haven’t picked up any indication of that in either book. so idk
